Our upcoming webinar is a very special one, and a bit different in format than what we’ve offered you in the past. In the Nutritional Aesthetics® Alliance network, we’re very lucky to have many aestheticians and nutritionists who have chosen to dedicate their practices to supporting clients who have been touched by cancer. In this day and age, you’ve likely been affected by cancer; either personally or through someone you love. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, in treatment, post-treatment, in remission, or you’re a loving family member or friend of a cancer patient in one of these stages, this webinar—Cancer Self-Care with Nutritional Aesthetics®— is for you.

This event occurred live Monday, October 3rd at 8pm EDT. The replay will be available only to NAA members. Click HERE to join.

We want to offer support to those living with cancer, those who care for them, and those who want to know more about self-care, healing, and regaining and maintaining strength during cancer through holistic nutrition and oncology aesthetics. The two experts joining us for this discussion, holistic nutritionist Kirstin Nussgruber, and oncology-trained aesthetician and NAA member Laurie Neronha, will participate in a live NAA-moderated panel discussion.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN ABOUT CANCER SELF-CARE

Cancer changes you in every way as well–physically and emotionally–and self-care during this difficult time may seem daunting. So many companies that promote the pink ribbon symbol or support cancer research and care make products that contain known or suspected carcinogens or other toxic ingredients directly or indirectly related to cancer. When those are beauty or personal care products, self-care becomes even more challenging.

Our experts will share this information, and more:

  • Overview of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery and how you can better understand the effects of these treatments on the skin and body.
  • Important nutritional considerations when newly diagnosed, during cancer treatment, immediately post-treatment, and beyond.
  • How to address fears, feelings, and need for support both during and post cancer treatment.
  • Top ingredients to avoid in your personal care products during cancer treatment.
  • Common myths about nutrition and cancer.

We’d also like to hear from you–what questions do you have about skincare, self-care, or nutrition for people going through various stages of cancer? Please leave your comments below.

Laurie infuses a love of life, her deep spirituality and her wealth of knowledge to her classes, and invites you to BE the change.
